NEBULA
Monferrato Rosso Doc
The Nebbiolo vineyards are located on the western summit of our estate, a location chosen to provide the grapes with the best possible sun exposure. The soil in this area differs slightly from the rest of the property, having a higher concentration of silt-a nutrient-rich component that helps give the grapes balance and harmony.
Nebbiolo destined for the Nebula is harvested in early October. Vinification is geared toward enhancing the fresh and spicy characteristics of the grape variety: this is why fermentations at slightly lower temperatures and short macerations, not exceeding 10 days, are adopted, so as to avoid excessive extractions that could weigh down the wine’s profile.
After fermentation, the wine ages for 24 months in 25-hectoliter oak barrels, where it slowly evolves, preserving elegance, tension and aromatic finesse.
