GEMINA
Rosé Sparkling Wine – Pét-Nat
Gemina is a sparkling rosé wine made from Barbera grapes, vinified using the ancestral method. The grapes, harvested in late August, are gently pressed to limit the extraction of color and tannins from the skins. The resulting must ferments in stainless steel tanks. A portion of this must is kept at low temperatures and later used as a natural starter for the secondary fermentation in the bottle. In the spring, the chilled must is added to the base wine, which is then bottled and sealed with a crown cap. Fermentation continues in the bottle without added sulfites, finishing in contact with the lees. These contribute complexity, a delicate hint of bread crust, and a fuller body on the palate. A lively, fresh, and fragrant rosé with a rustic, authentic soul, it expresses the full vitality of Barbera in a new and spontaneous way.
